Unfortunately there's not lots of exciting things to talk about in the fandom at the moment, but that doesn't mean this community has to die! How about this for discussion: We talk a lot about fan casting, especially for the 3/4 main characters. What about the minor characters? Ok, so I have been thinking of my dream cast from the moment I read the book, which was around 2 years ago now. I looked at a lot of the dream casting  by others and I could get behind almost everybody people picked. But Ian...I just couldn't agree with any persons choices...especially Ian Somerhalder. I have long been a proponent of Josh Hutcherson for Jamie but I was browsing photos recently, and I knew he had grown up from the baby-faced boy we usually use in graphics, but not how much! ReelzChannel Hollywood Dailies mentions that The Host movie is casting (as we know) and that: "It’s rumored that Ian Somerhalder, who plays Damon, a vampire in the The Vampire Diaries, has already been cast to play one of the last humans on Earth."

We need to focus on official news and not rumors, but at least this rumor is from a more credible ( Read more... )
